Report - Fashion School
I am studying at the IED Barcelona. I moved from the Netherlands to pursue my dream of becoming a fashion designer. I worked really hard on my portfolio and was lucky enough to be accepted in two amazing fashion schools: the AMFI in Amsterdam and the IED here in Barcelona. I chose the IED because I thought it would be a better school.
The first few weeks were really hard, I was all by myself in a city I didn't know, where I didn't know a soul. It was also hard to get into the rhythm. I heard that fashion school was hard, but I had no idea it was like this. We have so much work to do in so little time. And the teachers don't tell us much, most of the times we are supposed to figure out the things by ourselves. But I am learning a lot and enjoying every minute of it.
I must confess one thing: I am disappointed in the school, I thought it would be much better. I think that the course was not well organized and the facilities are not as good as they should be. And I am not the only one who thinks this way. The AMFI in Amsterdam was so much better in all aspects...
Despite all of that I am very lucky to be studying such an amazing course, in such an inspiring city. I am truly grateful.
